“I have brought and called the dealer about the part they need to repair the air bag clock spring in my Jeep. They continually tell me that fiat-chrysler has not released the part. This recall has been going on for about 5 years now and they have not repaired it yet ! This is my second request for help the srs system light starts to flash at times.”
NHTSA complaint #11268964, filed 2019-10, 154,658 miles“Unable to get vehicle in for airbag recall. Automation chrysler Jeep just transferred me around and I gave up. Medved is more than 2 weeks out and you have to leave it all day. What is the point of a safety recall if the dealerships will not do it.”
NHTSA complaint #11316328, filed 2020-03, 38,000 miles“The air bag lights keeps randomly coming on & off on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2wd. No particular time or day or speed. I can be sitting at a stop light & it comes on. I had it checked & no one could find a problem other then the light coming on. I don't want to wait till I crash to see if the airbag works.”
NHTSA complaint #10681718, filed 2015-02, 120,000 miles“My airbag light came on the dashboard. When I turn the steering wheel to the left or right the light will go off then come back on. If I am going straight the light will stay on until a turn is made. Reading on the blogs it is definitely the clock spring. I know there is a recall on rhd wranglers, and this is crazy. I would think they use the same part in all wranglers!”
NHTSA complaint #10544652, filed 2013-09, 110,000 miles“I took my wife's 2007 Jeep Wrangler jk (4 door automatic) to courthouse shell here locally to get the state inspection done (my first time for this since purchasing it on july 1st 2012 from checkered flag toyota in greenbrier). I received a call saying that the horn did not work, what did I want to do? My wife had said that it had been working the previous week. Well, I said that I want it fixed. …”
