“I purchased the 2007 Jeep Wrangler used with 77, 000 miles on it. I now have 84500. Every single time I fill up with gas, once a week, it overflows out of the end spilling on the fender, driver side and ground. I have learned never to stand near it. Since getting soaked a few times.”

NHTSA complaint #11165432, filed 2019-01, 84,510 miles

“The fuel tank overflows every time it is filled. The system does not click or automatically shut off gas flow to indicate when tank is full, it simply overflows. I have tested many different gas stations and this issue occurs everytime, causing a dangerous situation for me and those around me, as well as environmental issues.”

NHTSA complaint #10743607, filed 2015-07, 20,000 miles

“Every time I fill tank, it overflows. I have to stand by it and listen to hear when getting close to full, so I can manually stop it or it gushes all over every time. Fed up, its dangerous with gas all over the Jeep and ground. Many different gas stations, many different states, all the same.”

NHTSA complaint #11045454, filed 2017-11, 150,000 miles

“I bought the Jeep in july of 2013. Every time I fill the tank the fuel spills out on the ground, me, and the Jeep's body. This happens at every station, every time. I have taken to mathematically figuring out the amount of fuel I need to add to the tank at each fill up so it doesn't fill, but if I'm wrong it spills out all over me!”

NHTSA complaint #10561035, filed 2014-01, 28,000 miles

“Fuel spitback. When filling 2007, Jeep, Wrangler it always spits back out of the filler when using automatic fill on handle of gas pump. If I hand fill it and listen very carefully I can hear the fuel rising in the filler neck an stop the splashback about half of the time.”

NHTSA complaint #10873548, filed 2016-06, 6,000 miles
