“Suspension failure: I've had issues with my steering column since having bought this vehicle. About a week ago my gear box fell out of the vehicle causing loss of steering control. I have been having issues with the steering column shaking violently since having it repaired. This shaking was also a problem for me about three months ago.”

NHTSA complaint #11191977, filed 2019-03, 140,000 miles

“While driving, if the vehicle hits a small bump, the front end shakes violently back and forth until I am able to stop the vehicle. This problem is widespread and can be found on the internet as the Jeep death wobble . We've spent $900 to have this fixed and have been to 2 different garages to have it fixed and the mechanics can't find anything more that is wrong and claim it's a design flaw in the vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #10883675, filed 2016-07, 111,543 miles

“The 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited x model began violent shaking in the front end at highway speeds. The shaking started mildly then became violent. I slowed down and the shaking subsided but this is extremely dangerous when the traffic flow is moving at faster rates. An on-line search indicates that this is common in this model. I believe this should be recalled and fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10557501, filed 2013-12, 30,150 miles

“I took my wife's 2007 Jeep Wrangler jk (4 door automatic) to courthouse shell here locally to get the state inspection done (my first time for this since purchasing it on july 1st 2012 from checkered flag toyota in greenbrier). I received a call saying that the horn did not work, what did I want to do? My wife had said that it had been working the previous week. Well, I said that I want it fixed. …”
