“I have 2013 Jeep wrangle unlimited. I bought this in 2013 for my wife. The Jeep had about 11,000 miles on it when we bought. The death wobble started occurring about 6-month into ownership. I aligned, balanced and replaced two tires. Now, the death wobble is an everyday occurrence. At 55 miles per hour, the wobble occurs.”
NHTSA complaint #10957941, filed 2017-03, 55,000 miles“Driving down the road, the steering wheel shakes violently left to right, and you are forced to bring the vehicle to a stop. In checking the internet, and speaking to a technician, this is a fairly common problem called the death wobble . I am unclear how something as dangerous as this can become acceptable in terms of Jeep performance. While I put an incident date of 3/16 on the form, this vehicle behavior has happened multiple times.”
NHTSA complaint #11081280, filed 2018-03, 55,000 miles“I keep taking my vehicle in for safety recall n28/NHTSA 13v-234 transmission oil cooler tube, but the dealer says they don't have the part, and to come back later. It has been three and a half months since I received the notice for the recall, and they have failed to inform me when they have the part, and to fix it. The dealer is: farrish dealership in fairfax virginia.”
NHTSA complaint #10559733, filed 2014-01, 31,000 miles“Safety recall n28/NHTSA 13v-234 transmission oil cooler tube just called the Jeep dealership in lexington park, md to schedule the repair and they put me on a waiting list. Not a big deal but im number 18 and they are getting about one part in a week. That means I have to wait 18 weeks? Seems chrysler would pump out these parts faster.”
NHTSA complaint #10551858, filed 2013-11, 24,600 miles“I took my vehicle in for recall on the NHTSA campaign id no. 13v234000 was told parts had to be ordered. Today (3 months later) I was notified that it will be several more months because the manufacturer is only allowing the dealership to order 1 part every 10 days and I'm still down on the list. I find this totally unacceptable. After 3 months I still need to wait several months to have a recall completed?”
