“The oil cooler broke and is leaking oil all over my engine, transfer case and exhaust. Jeep says it's common and they expect me to pay $850 out of my pocket for a plastic part that will fail again. Shame on them. It was sitting in my garage and oil is everywhere on the ground. It's too dangerous to drive”

NHTSA complaint #11278158, filed 2019-11, 47,500 miles

“When car was 3 months old, I was putting gear shift into park and it pop back out and I almost was ran over by vehicle. Luckily, have of my body was still in car but it happened so fast that I was parked next to a brick wall and it hit exactly when I put foot on brake. I do have repair forms from ron lewis Jeep and insurance report. Since then I had two minor paint peel issues.”

NHTSA complaint #11041587, filed 2017-10, 3,000 miles

“Jeep has a known epic failure is design flaw in its 2014 Wrangler when it switched from a metal oil filter cooler housing to a plastic oil filter cooler housing. Hundreds of cases of the part breaking/leaking oil all over lower engine and exhaust which is a fire hazard. My part leaked oil over an unknown amount of time because I live with a gravel driveway.....now dealer shows me metal like glow to oil which could be engine failure.....hundreds of cases”

NHTSA complaint #11221151, filed 2019-06, 58,500 miles

“I have a cracked oil filter housing that seems to be a common issue with this year model Jeep. The local dealer is about 920 back ordered which tells me that this is a major problem. Please look in to this! If this would have happened while driving it could have caused the engine to lock up and may have caused an accident.”

NHTSA complaint #10661416, filed 2014-12, 40,216 miles

“40000 miles and the rear main seal is already leaking bad. Happened when I first bought it in 2016 and the dealer said nothing was wrong or leaking as I was loosing oil.. Now it's leaking terribly bad and they won't cover it.”

NHTSA complaint #11183107, filed 2019-02, 40,000 miles
