“The front wheels shimmy at freeway speeds when hitting a slight uneven seam or joint in the road bed, the dealer put a dampener on but the issue is still there, just not as pronounced. The drive train / transmission / differential has locked up violently stopping the Jeep, this has happened twice so far but I have only had it for a few months. Both times I was moving slowly forward in drive just leaving a parking space on the side of the street. I put it in park, then back in drive and it moved normally. It sounds like metal on metal when it happens and is very sudden!”

NHTSA complaint #11257686, filed 2019-09, 13,000 miles

“Jeep slips out of low range into neutral. When off road on steep terrain, transfer case slips into neutral. This is when going up or down dirt trails with axles locked. It is very dangerous when this occurs causing Jeep to lose momentum and slide up or down hills. Generally happens a few minutes after engaging low range.”

NHTSA complaint #11325212, filed 2020-05, 11,000 miles

“Vehicle shut off while driving with no warning. Would not restart. Many warning lights. Was traveling in the passing lane moving at about 70mph when vehicle turned off. All exterior lighting went out at night. And I had to coast and wait for a tow on the side of the road”

NHTSA complaint #11289075, filed 2019-12, 8,665 miles

“JJeep hit a bump in the road and started shaking uncontrollable even after stopping and starting. Able to drive, dealer ordered new part for suspensions and told to drive less then 55 until if comes in. Part is back ordered”

NHTSA complaint #11375905, filed 2020-11, 5,500 miles

“First time it happened I was stopped and the vehicle complete Shut off. I had to shift to park and restart. Second time, coming to a stop the vehicle abruptly shut completely off and directed me to shift it to park and restart. Same thing had happened a third time and now I have parked the vehicle until my service appointment.”
