“Military member stationed overseas. Purchased vehicle through Military Auto Source. Dealer has to take wrangler into local Jeep dealer. Dealer heard banging on right side of wheel. When local Jeep dealer completed inspection they noted the chassiss weld completely missing. This is a huge safety issue. This car has not even been driven 100 miles yet. I would like someone to look into this issue. My Wrangler can’t possibly be the only one in this situation.”

NHTSA complaint #11491411, filed 2022-10

“When driving down the road my jeep goes into an uncomfortable death wobble. It has already been to a dealer to fix this once but it isn’t . There is a weld defect in the driver side front and passenger door frame . When the electronics get hot from the summer heat they black out . The digital display is not calibrated to the odometer of the vehicle . The Jeep surges violently and almost caused a collision.”

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown steering part was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that upon opening the trunk of the vehicle, the contact noticed that there were some screws in the trunk. …”

NHTSA complaint #11703786, filed 2025-12, 80,000 miles

“At highway speed, vehicle repeatedly started shaking and vibrating violently after hitting any bump or uneven portion of the roadway. Steering became extremely difficult to control and was completely useless for a period of time. A vehicle that loses the ability to steer at highway speeds puts everyone at risk of accident/death. In looking online, this has been experienced by many people and is referred to as the death wobble . There were no warnings that this was going to occur. Vehicle has been brought to the dealership. …”

NHTSA complaint #11761921, filed 2026-09

“Purchased brand new 392 Jeep Wrangler with second set of factory doors. Unfortunately, water will come through when it rains. This is a hazard for electronics, mold, etc. Took to dealer, who was unable to fix, but acknowledged defect.”
