“The check engine light was on and it said to service the battery charging components. When driving in hybrid mode it doesn’t switch to use the battery. When I was trying to pull off after stopping, the jeep hesitated and would not move and then all of a sudden jerked and took off almost making me crash and people crash into me.”

NHTSA complaint #11770861, filed 2026-10

“I purchased this Jeep 4xe in September 2025 and the dealer did not mention any recalls or safety concerns at the time of purchase nor did I receive any notification of a recall. My jeep battery caught on fire just like the recall states. Fortunately a neighbor saw the fire prior to it burning down my other jeep and barn.”

NHTSA complaint #11710077, filed 2026-01

“There was a prior recall where if there was discoloring or charring of the battery terminal a new battery was suppose to be installed. I reported this and showed the damage, and they just cleaned the terminals and sent me down the road. Now that these are burning houses down I would like to get out of this lease, its almost up anyway.”

NHTSA complaint #11617396, filed 2024-10

“I took my 2022 Jeep Wrangler to my local Jeep dealership for a 21D Fire risk campaign recall inspection and powertrain software update. Car had to be towed to dealership a few days after services were completed, and was diagnosed at dealership, with an offline TCM, throwing a U0101 code. Car was in good working, driving order prior to the recall and software update and is now completely inoperable.”

NHTSA complaint #11759015, filed 2026-08

“My vehicle is year old and I began receiving a warning light regarding the electric throttle control system. The throttle has begun periodically not responding while at highway speeds. I am forced to continue driving the vehicle because dealership service departments do not have loaner vehicles available for me to leave my vehicle to be serviced.”
