“The vehicle keeps dying when I put it in drive, it automatically dyes out. I have the alertnator replace and it keeps dying out. I already spend close to 487.00 for the peice, getting it towed to the shop and getting it fix. The alternator still dies out.”
NHTSA complaint #11338327, filed 2020-07, 154,345 miles“My 8 year old son was riding in the passenger side back seat on road trip from atlanta to tampa. He began complaining his seat belt would was stuck, and within a minute began to panic as it continued to tighten each time he moved. I glanced back to see he had trouble breathing because the belt so tight against his stomach that his skin and fat was folded around belt. I made emergency exit and ran in store for scissors. They did not have, but had a knife I was able to cut it in time. His stomach was red and sore. He was very scared. Now I carry a tool to cut belts. …”
NHTSA complaint #10716738, filed 2015-05, 130,000 miles“I ran off the left side of a mountain road hitting a large tree with the driver's door, then continued down the hill another ~20 feet slamming into a boulder. When I hit the tree, the driver's door window broke as well as the driver's side rear door. The door was jammed shut. The Nissan was equipped with front side impact airbags and both front and rear head protection airbags. None were deployed. When I hit the boulder, the front passenger airbag deployed, but the driver's front airbag failed to deploy. …”
NHTSA complaint #10226557, filed 2008-05, 33,000 miles“Exiting a highway and taking ramp to enter an avenue, driver lost control of the car turning right at intersection. Front left tire hit the curve side and car rolled over 2 full rolls. Driver and passenger had seat bells on. Car body took strong hits on both sides, posts between side windowsroof, windshield frame, hood. Seat bells never locked down during roll over and none of the airbags deployed. Driver and passenger had head, knees and back injuries. It would be expected the seat bells to lock down and at least the side airbags to deployed. Pictures available at your request.”
