“Air bag light stays on and has since first purchased, horn has not worked for about 8 months, cruise control quit working 3 months ago. Reading other complaints it appears there was a recall stating the problem is with the column clock spring. If I could receive a recall for the manufacturer to just provide a replacement column clock spring my nephew would place it on the van.”
NHTSA complaint #10396427, filed 2011-04, 99,000 miles“I recently purchased a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager. Immediately I noticed the airbag warning light going on and off while driving, and after searching your site, I've discovered that quite a lot of people are having the same problem. As this issue is still not a manufacturer recall yet for this year model, how do I remedy this problem?”
NHTSA complaint #10065911, filed 2004-04, 93,000 miles“Egr system failure (failing airbags, horn, and cruise control system)-as per an article in todays atlanta journal-constitution, you are currently probing Plymouth grand voyagers from model years 1998 & 1999 due to 109 complaints regarding failing airbags, horns, and cruise control systems. Therefore, since my van had the same problem, I want to be added to your list.”
NHTSA complaint #10056407, filed 2004-02, 57,511 miles“I have a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager that is experiencing a problem with the clockswitch (horn, cruise control not working, airbag light on). I called the recall line with chrysler and they said my van was not covered on the recall. Only 1996-1998. I noticed when the investigation was taking place all vehicles from 1996-2000 were being looked at. I think chrysler should fix the problem with my clockswitch for free because this is a safety defect.”
