Example complaints

Transmission and drivetrain: “I purchased vehicle used on 2/14/2018. Carfax stated no outstanding recalls. After about one year, very occasionally, when shifting from park to drive, the gear would not engage until the process was repeated. Just recently, while highway driving, both service engine and transmission warning lights appeared on the dash. This was followed by a near total loss of power and an occasional stall. This obviously created a dangerous safety hazard for me and the other drivers in my area. …”

NHTSA complaint #11321463, filed 2020-04, 81,000 miles

Electrical system: “Experiences dangerous stalling and loss of electrical power to engine during driving. This can cause a serious accident. This is specifically a symptom of one of the many recalls supposedly performed on this vehicle already. I believe the recall repair previously was not completed properly because I have experienced this 10 times in the past two weeks.”

NHTSA complaint #11082390, filed 2018-04, 22,800 miles

Engine: “Van loses electrical power when driven and stalls. This is while driving on a city street go straight on the road. This is a off and on issue with this vehicle. It has been to the maintenance shop who could find anything nor codes. Suggested we take it to a dealer, they tell us the same thing. No codes and it drove fine with no issues. Well, I have had two different employees driving it and it has done the same thing a total of four times. It is a power issue as the clock/radio resets each time it happens! Dealership has only drove it for 10 minutes. …”
