“My vehicle powers off for no reason while driving. It's been doing this for over a year and I've spend hundreds of dollars trying to figure out what's wrong. Now it's dead every morning when we try to start it. Service center says it is the tipm and will cost 1200.00 to replace.”

NHTSA complaint #11161374, filed 2018-12, 110,000 miles

“Out of nowhere vehicle stops running, no check engine lights, but van shuts off. This has happened a dozen or so times in the last few weeks. Took the van to local shop for diagnostic test. No codes appeared, tested fuel pump and EGR value, not problems there. Mechanic unable to detect issue. I've noticed other complaints online and a recall for 2010 Chrysler t&c vans, but not my vehicle (built on 9/26/2012).”

NHTSA complaint #10694224, filed 2015-03, 72,000 miles

“We were driving at about 20-25 MPH, and the car stalled in the street and the electronic stability control light came on. We put the vehicle in park, and re-started the van. The van worked fine for about three days and did it again. It has done this a total of 5 times in the last month.”

NHTSA complaint #10683651, filed 2015-02, 80,000 miles

“Our 2010 Town And Country minivan has been stalling since q1 of 2014. We have taken it to normanden in san jose, ca numerous times to have them diagnose the problem. We have left it with them on each occasion to drive it with their diagnostic computer and they have never been able to find a code telling them what to fix. On dec. 27 we took it back in to normanden after it stalled 19 times in the previous 7 days. …”

NHTSA complaint #10683399, filed 2015-02, 105,000 miles

“Driving vehicle in residential neighborhood at 35 MPH, dash displayed the loss of traction warning light. I noticed, too, that the accelerator pedal wasn't working and apparently the entire engine completely shut off. All electrical components still worked including radio, navigation system, etc. I completely lost the ability to steer the vehicle as well. Had to put on my hazards. Stop. Put the vehicle in park. Turn the vehicle off. Turn it back on and it would run again.”
