“I was at a red light at a city block intersection. When the light turned green, I started to accelerate, then the van immediately lost power. I was able to turn the hazard lights on. I could not steer, accelerate, brake. The van slowed to a stop and I turned the key to on (it had twisted to acc on its own.) the van started back up and I continued on my drive.”

NHTSA complaint #11363350, filed 2020-10, 117,000 miles

“While driving, the engine cut out and I lost power to steering and brakes. The traction control light then came on when I finally pulled over. After resetting, the vehicle started and drove normally. If this happened on a busy road, serious injury would have occurred to the passengers in my vehicle and anyone else I would have struck due to loss of control.”

NHTSA complaint #11113197, filed 2018-07, 147,000 miles

“I was driving straight on a rural, two lane road at 45mph. The road was slightly hilly and conditions were clear. The van abruptly lost power and I could not steer. I waited for it to coast to a stop, put the vehicle in park and re-started the key. The van started right up and I continued driving.”

NHTSA complaint #11363351, filed 2020-10, 117,100 miles

“Danger! While in motion, three or 4 times since buying town & country in dec 2009 the power steering froze & I had to muscle the wheel to complete the turn. Now that my daughter is driving I am scared to death for her. I took the car to service & they found no codes & nothing wrong.”

NHTSA complaint #11289100, filed 2019-12, 55,000 miles

“We had just filled up the gas tank and we're ready to get on the highway when the radio shut off. It came back on after 2 minutes without any interference. This alarmed us as lately we have had a hard time starting the car and also the steering wheel goes rigid sometimes and the car stops. Our dealer has checked and tells us there is no problem.”
