“Rear sliding doors on both sides have on several occasions shut on their own after being opened by me either with remote or using the door handle. Me and grandkids have gotten struck by door as it is coming back. Door will not sense that someone or something is in the opening. This is a serious issue that I can't let go on any longer.”
NHTSA complaint #10417182, filed 2011-08, 18,300 miles“We stopped to eat at a restaurant. I was in the front passenger seat. My husband unlocked the car and I pulled on the door handle, but the door wouldn't open. We tried a few times and still couldn't open it. My husband tried from outside of the car and couldn't open it that way either. I was stuck in the car. Fortunately I am a limber person and was able to climb out through the 2nd row. However, if a passenger were disabled or too large to climb to the back, they would be trapped in the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10609745, filed 2014-07, 53,556 miles“I bought a vehicle 3 days ago. I complained about the tires sounding like it was wobbling. I told the owner and other employees that it sounded like something was wrong. They said that they did not hear it but had the tires balanced and the rotors turned. I ran my kids to basketball practice and later on that night the tire sounds got worse and we're much louder. I was driving home and just turned into my neighborhood and my front driver side tire flew off. The tire and rim we're traveling through a yard at 30+ MPH. I slammed to the ground and stopped the vehicle. It was terrifiyng. …”
NHTSA complaint #11138957, filed 2018-10, 122,000 miles“The right sliding door when activated would start to open. When about half way open it would start to shutter and would close again. If someone was starting to get out the door, the door would hit them. The dealership this vehicle was purchased from told me there was nothing wrong with it , but they could fix them for $350 per door. After reading of recall k 14 that Chrysler was campaigning in oct 2010, I manually moved my wiring harness in the lower door well. This resulted in a temporary fix. Now I must move it periodically to have the door operate properly. …”
NHTSA complaint #10583990, filed 2014-04, 40,000 miles“The cab of our vehicle fills with dust making it a hazard for our family, we contacted the dealer and they said we needed to change the cabin air filter and to their surprise, this particular van did not come with one. It was stated by Chrysler that there was nothing they could do, we would have to live with it . This is a major health concern and safety concern due to visibility and breathing issues. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and documented the excessive amount of dust in the vents, but Chrysler will do nothing saying it runs like it is suppose to. …”
