“2010 EDGE bought new. Power driver seat started rocking and was getting worse when I took it to dealership where I bought it and was told that there were two rivets that were bad. I was told that at some point they would fail and it would be a safety issue so I had it repaired for $1084. Turns out it is a known problem. I've been buying fords since 1994 but I'm feeling kinda stupid now.”

NHTSA complaint #11097185, filed 2018-05, 63,292 miles

“I was driving my 2 week old 2010 EDGE limited, on a highway in stop and go traffic, when I was hit from behind by a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt shingles. I was pushed into a car in front of me and both cars were totaled. During the crash, the components of the dash were ejected into the backseat. . If someone had been seated in the back seat, I'm sure they would have been severely injured by the debris.the dashboard stayed in place. Also, the drivers seat brokefrom it's anchors. The air bag did not deploy.”

NHTSA complaint #10362582, filed 2010-10, 4,000 miles

“Takata recall - the 2010 Ford EDGE has a flaw with the seat track. The vehicle seat track appears to be stretched open over prolonged use and begins to rock back and forth with accelerating and braking. This concern is the seat track may stretch to a point where it will separate from base and track in a motor vehicle crash. I've also discovered through on line checks that this is a common problem with Ford EDGE, explorer and several other vehicles Ford manufactures.”

NHTSA complaint #10979608, filed 2017-04, 78,999 miles

“Vehicle stopped in traffic, hit from behind and pushed into the car ahead. Driver's seat belt failed to lock and driver suffer facial contusion and bloody nose when face hit the steering wheel. Driver was taken to hospital via ambulance. No broken bones in the face. Passenger seat broken during accident, with only front of the seat being held to the floor.”

NHTSA complaint #10357151, filed 2010-09, 25,000 miles

“The seat first started rocking a bit. Then this evening I get in the vehicle and it sinks to the floor and sounds like it has stripped gears. It has a power seat and it will not move it”
