“I drove for over 8 hours with the seat warmer on high and I literally burned my bottom. I ended up having to go to an urgent care a few days later where they prescribed antibiotics and a prescribed ointment. It had a bug blister which broke and now open wound. It is definitely a burn and now treating for wound care.”
NHTSA complaint #11268439, filed 2019-10, 40,000 miles“The driver's seat rocks when accelerating or braking, as if it has come loose. I have taken car to my mechanic to have it repaired, he says there is nothing loose for him to tighten. Has been doing this for the last several months.”
NHTSA complaint #11234755, filed 2019-07, 62,000 miles“Drivers seat rocks backwards about 5 inches upon acceleration and rocks forward when stopping. When it rocks backwards you feel as if the seat is going to go over backwards and you panic for a second before recovering. This is going to cause an accident. This is a common problem with Ford EDGE driver seats.”
NHTSA complaint #11246731, filed 2019-08, 115,000 miles“Seat real ease for rear seats doesn't work. Reading forums multiple people have issue and the fix requires removing seats and replacing the cable on the release mechanism. Due to safety concerns I didn't want to remove and replace seat by myself.”
NHTSA complaint #11300337, filed 2020-01, 60,000 miles“Driver seat rocks back and forth when accelerating and braking. It has been doing this periodically for the past year. Seems to be a regular complaint for this vehicle but there is not a recall.”
