“The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the rear bench seat was loose. The contact stated that the base was attached; however, the back of the bench moved and wiggled when the hand was placed anywhere on the bench. The contact stated that the seat was not secured, and it was not safe to install the car seat on the bench. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that it was normal for the seat to move. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.”
NHTSA complaint #11584095, filed 2024-04, 2,000 miles“I have a 2024 Ford Edge SEL. The issue is the the driver front and passenger front head rests. The head rest is only adjustable up to down, not forward or back. The current position of the head rest with the seat in normal upright driving position forces your head into your chest and you are looking at the floor with no neck support. There is no position to adequately support your head and neck with the current headrest. It is tilted too far forward toward the windshield. Dealer confirmed. Dealer looked it over and said this is how its made. No warnings. …”
