NHTSA complaint #11374362, filed 2020-11, 46,000 miles“My 2013 Ford EDGE randomly stalls doesn't matter if I'm turning going slow or straight and going fast. The wrench light will show up. I usually stop, shut it down and restart it. It's pretty frightening. I brought it to the repair shop and they said it might be the throttle bottle. Got that cleaned up which was to dirty and still stalling.”
NHTSA complaint #11276991, filed 2019-10, 76,000 miles“While driving down the road the vehicle will exhibit a full loss of power. After pulling to the side of the road and turning the vehicle off and trying to restart it will experience a long and hard start. The vehicle will do this weather you are driving 5mph or 70 MPH. This is very dangerous and has almost caused me to be in several accidents with my 3 children in the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11102125, filed 2018-06, 70,000 miles“Fuel odor in cabin. Every time I put gasoline on it, when trying to turn on, it fails and I have to try several times. While parked it turn off by it self and a red notification saying something like oil pressure appears. I went to dealer and they say is ok. I entered the VIN in your site and there are 2 recalls. Dealer never contact me about that.”
NHTSA complaint #10915157, filed 2016-10, 53,900 miles“When I close my drivers side door and start my 2013 Ford EDGE, it thinks my door is ajar. This is a latch problem and the vehicle does not recognize that the door is closed. As a result, the doors will not lock. I have seen many complaints of this problem on the web. I am hoping that the NHTSA will force Ford to recall these vehicles and fix the problem.”
