“Stationary 2013 Ford EDGE drivers door latch freezes and will not unlock. When I do get the door open from other side it won't close and latch. I have to repeatedly slam door hard to get it to latch. Ford garage in past lubricates the latch inside the door but it's a temporary fix. Dealing with this every year.”
NHTSA complaint #11164794, filed 2019-01, 30,000 miles“Water leak in the cab of the vehicle do to sealant gaps in a panel on the front driver side to the point were water was pooling on the rubber mats. I see that there were previous recalls for this problem however my vehicle was not included in the recall. I would like for my vehicle to be considered in this recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11155133, filed 2018-11, 94,000 miles“My driver side door flew open while I was turning almost causing an accident. As mentioned in many other complaints, I too have the issue of the driver side light displaying ajar . Because of this almost accident, I now open and close the door as many times as it takes to make sure the latch is close and the light is off. My life matters.”
NHTSA complaint #10926759, filed 2016-11, 26,000 miles“The driver door latch is getting replaced as it tells us that the door is open when it is not. I have been told by the dealership that they have seen this happen in a lot of Ford EDGE's. It is costing me $350.00 and I would like my money back from Ford. I don't believe that a 2013 should be having those kind of issues and Ford should fix the issue.”
NHTSA complaint #10704163, filed 2015-04, 58,000 miles“The driver door ajar sensor is always on even when I close the door. The drive door ajar sensor never goes off. It causes the lights to come on while I am driving, it will not let me lock the doors while I am inside the car as well as the lights stay on for over 5 minutes when I try to lock the car after I get out. This is draining my battery.”
