“No set time the brakes fails. Goes to the floor instead of stopping and it doesn't matter what rate of speed you're traveling. Even after thinking Ford fixed it I almost got into an accident because the brakes failed. Ford fixed it by doing a flush, cost charged me a lot of money for nothing or they don't know what they're doing.”

NHTSA complaint #11166337, filed 2019-01, 260,007 miles

“While driving on hwy 2 in wenatchee, wa at 5pm on october 2, 2019 my sunroof exploded. The sunroof was closed at the time. There were no overpasses or cars near me when this happened. The weather was partly cloudy and around 72 degrees. I was driving approximately 60 MPH.”

NHTSA complaint #11265778, filed 2019-10, 110,000 miles

“The door ajar switch is not working correctly, my interior and exterior lights stay on after I lock the doors, the door ajar chime rings the whole time I'm driving. This impedes visibility, attention, and could have adverse safety consequences.”

NHTSA complaint #10886155, filed 2016-07, 35,000 miles

“Door ajar light comes on when door is obviously closed. It can take up to 10-15 slams to get the light to go off. Annoying alert tone goes off until it's closed and dome light stays on. Also, car will not lock if door does not register as closed. This problem has persisted for over a year, but oddly goes away during the winter months. Just now, my windsheild wipers won't turn off. I don't know if these issues are related, but it all seems electrical in nature.”

NHTSA complaint #10715618, filed 2015-05, 70,000 miles

“My 2013 Ford EDGE has been having issues with the driver's door latch sensor. The sensor does not work properly and the vehicle computer is constantly thinking that my door is ajar. It illuminates the interior lights causing distractions and safety issues for me trying to drive and other drivers around me, especially since I work 3rd shift and do a lot of nighttime driving. It has drained my battery numerous times due to it setting my alarm off intermittently because it all of the sudden thinks my door is open when I have it parked. I have read so many complaints of this issue. …”
