“During any heavy rain with the windshield wipers on full, there're not fast enough to give your clear visibility, making driving in the rain very dangerous. My others Ford cars do not have this problem. When the wipers are set to full setting they are much faster than on the Ford EDGE. I see this as an serious. Dangerous problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11143504, filed 2018-10, 5,700 miles“Rear window shattered without warning as vehicle was in motion. Speed was less than 15 MPH while exiting a parking lot, approaching stop sign. Window glass rained into vehicle in small pieces. Vehicle had only 22,000 miles with extended warranty. Ford refused to cover repair. Attached photos show extent of glass loss and size of pieces.”
NHTSA complaint #11266490, filed 2019-10, 22,000 miles“When I got into my vehicle one morning after it had been parked outside overnight the panoramic sun/moonroof glass looked like it had big cracks throughout, but initially thought it was just puddled water outlines since we'd had a good rain event overnight. After vehicle dried later that day I still saw the lines and when I investigated I could feel the cracks/crevices in the outer glass but it had not cracked on the inner layer of glass. …”
NHTSA complaint #11581918, filed 2024-04“My wife was driving home from work when she said she heard what sounded like a gun shot! She was very very alarmed by it!! When she got home found that the panoramic sunroof exploded! I will take it to the dealer tomorrow!”
