“I was driving on the interstate and traffic was heavy with speeds constantly changing. I was keeping what I though was a safe distance but when the car in front of me completely stopped and I hit my brakes, my vehicle slid instead of stopping resulting in me hitting the vehicle in front of me. Would this be associated with the brake recall?”

NHTSA complaint #11390481, filed 2021-01, 60,000 miles

“Brakes are too sensitive (grabbing) at low speed, especially after sitting overnight. A very slight touch of the brake pedal will cause the car to immediately stop and anyone in the car will slide forward in their seat if not out of the seat. This is a problem with both myself and my wife driving the car. If I drive the car and stomp on the brakes a few times it seems to get a little better. But it is a safety issue for people inside the car and if a car is following closely due to the abrupt uncontrollable stop.”

NHTSA complaint #11246076, filed 2019-08, 13,000 miles

“NHTSA needs to recall the engines on these vehicle check engine light came on had checked was told spark plug #4 misfire vehicle is overheating and taking all coolant, white smoke coming out the exhuast, when I brake my emergency brakes are being applied??? I see that there are other people who are having same issues NHTSA and FORD need to RECALL THE ENGINES!! …”

NHTSA complaint #11610321, filed 2024-08

“There is an engine defect causing coolant to leak into cylinders on my 2018 Ford edge titanium ecoboost 2.0l turbocharged engine. This is a known safety problem and there have been many lawsuits regarding this issue. I have contacted Ford Corporate and they are only recommending to replace the long block instead of replacing the entire engine. …”

NHTSA complaint #11432533, filed 2021-09

“Not sure if this is due to the recall from 2025 that does not have a remedy yet but driving my car makes me extremely nervous because my brakes are becoming difficult to use. Just wondering what I can do and what options have.”
