“The transmission failed, yes it’s available for inspection. The car stopped while I was driving putting my life at risk to get into a crash with other vehicles. Yes it’s been confirmed by an independent auto shop. It has not been inspected by manufacturer, police or insurance. Insurance says it’s not covered so they didn’t give it the time of day to inspect. No warnings that I knew of.”

NHTSA complaint #11734689, filed 2026-04

“I bought my 2022 ford edge (AWD Titanium) last year and not too long after that I experienced transmission shudder. I recently spoke with a technician about this and he had mentioned that other ford edges are having the same issue as mine to the point that ford has issued a TSB on this subject. I'm sure i don't need to state the danger of the possibility of my transmission going out on the road.”

NHTSA complaint #11765381, filed 2026-09

“Transmission. Everyone that owns a 2022 ford edge sel have had to either buy a new transmission or rebuild… out of my 4 vehicles with over 100k miles I have never had transmission issue and now I buy this car and it has transmission issues I’m over it. Ford need to recall their transmission”

NHTSA complaint #11674801, filed 2025-07

“I noticed a clicking noise coming from the right front wheel when turning left. I also notice when I put the vehicle into drive I hear a clicking sound. I was driving came to a stop and heard a click sound when I took off. I would guess it's the actual drive shaft that is bad.”

NHTSA complaint #11564102, filed 2024-01

“As we were driving the vehicle it started to hesitate then would begin slipping as it shifted to the point it had to be babied as you drove it. Less than 10k miles out of warranty and only three years old. All of the previous awd edge models had a recall by Ford to cover what I learned was a failing torque converter, requiring a full transmission rebuild. This model has yet to be covered even though it is having the exact same problems as previous versions.”
