“Rear camera goes black intermittently in our 2014 Ford. While we are backing out of a parking place or out of our driveway it may start as expected but then before we are finished reversing it just goes to a black screen. Other times when we put the car in reverse, the rear camera does not engage at all.”

NHTSA complaint #11362298, filed 2020-10, 60,000 miles

“When my car idles for 3-5 minutes, dash board starts dinging and all sensors light up. Cold air turns into hot hair, gages stop working, if I turn off the car the car won't start back up until 15-20 minutes later. This happens more in the summer time then winter. So far this month- july it's happened 5 times.”

NHTSA complaint #11232425, filed 2019-07, 70,000 miles

“While driving on the highway my 2014 Explorer alerted me in the driver information section located to the left of the odometer that my 'steering loss stop safety' was unavailable. In addition to this, it displayed, 'service advancetrac' and 'collison warning not available'. Moments later my steering locked up and I was unable to turn or control the wheel. We sat stranded, with our three children on the side of the highway for hours until help could come. …”

NHTSA complaint #11394999, filed 2021-02, 135,000 miles

“The door ajar light will stay on whether I am stationary or driving. I have had to open and shut the door 5 to 7 times sometimes to get it to shut off. No matter how soft or hard I shut the door it won't shut off. If I don't shut it off the interior light will stay on.”

NHTSA complaint #11044706, filed 2017-11, 74,000 miles

“The electronic door locks on the vehicle will either stay unlocked or locked and it makes it very difficult to get in and out of the vehicle. For example I pulled up to my infant sons daycare to drop him off for the day, the rear passenger door would not unlock, no matter if I used the key fob or the buttons on the inside of the front door, the lock would not pull up from the inside either I eventually had to pull him out of the vehicle thru the front passenger door.”
