“Fractured rear toe link suspension. Husband fixed it once, less then a month later after replacing part it broke again! Not happy had my kids in the vehicle with me both times thankfully we were not hurt as we were not going very fast when the part completely snapped! Happened when I was turning the corner felt like my back tire popped out of socket!”

NHTSA complaint #11366750, filed 2020-10, 110,000 miles

“I recently was driving down the highway at 70mph when my car's steering became out of control. It was like I was fishtailing on ice and the steering was loose. Thankfully I was able to brake and get into a grassy area off the side of the highway. I was able to get off the exit and drive at a slower speed. Thankfully I did not crash but was extremely close to crashing.”

NHTSA complaint #11229225, filed 2019-07, 77,000 miles

“We received a recall letter concerning the rear suspension toe link. I have not driven this vehicle since receiving the letter. I do not feel safe in driving a vehicle. When can we expect a solution to a fix for this vehicle? It is very discouraging making payments on a vehicle and not feel safe in driving it. Thank you for your time.”

NHTSA complaint #10896665, filed 2016-08, 30,000 miles

“My vehicle has 69k miles with only freeway driving and the struts and bearings already have to be replaced. The cost is $900 at the Ford dealership. I was told that the bearings are worn out causing problems with the struts. Anytime I would drive at low speeds you could hear a loud knocking sound. My nissan is 12 years old and it just now needed similar maintenance. Something is not right with this quality.”

NHTSA complaint #10991763, filed 2017-05, 69,000 miles

“The recall 19s17 (NHTSA 19v-435) affect the rear suspension .we bring in the car today and they replace the bad parts . Now Ford service is telling me that it affect my motor and transmission mounts but I have to pay $900 to replace those . Vehicle is vibrating and shaking over 70mph . The mounts are here to minimise the vibration due to road defected , if the suspension don't do its work , and it wasn't because of the recall ... Vehicle is only 90k miles”
