“I have been notified that my vehicle is subject to a recall because it has a passenger takata air bag. I have repeatedly checked with my dealer, sheehy Ford in gaithersburg, md about the date my vehicle will be recalled. They have no information and no advice for me except to consider trading the vehicle in. This is totally unacceptable to me.”

NHTSA complaint #11164101, filed 2018-12, 81,000 miles

“Takata recall I received the notice to have my airbags replaced & bolton Ford has not responded. My driver door will not open from the inside of the vehicle & my brakes need me to go all the way to the floor before the brakes stop the car. Car was stationery when driver door would not open & driving coming to a stop when brakes need pushing to the floor to work properly.”

NHTSA complaint #11044865, filed 2017-11, 165,711 miles

“Takata inflators. My issue is the length of time in getting my airbags replaced. The recall was effective january 2017. I was notified by letter march 2017. I have called my local Ford dealer several times, and each time told the parts are not available. It's an unnecessary stress in driving this car knowing of the potential issues with the airbags. I just want the parts replaced. That's all.”
