“Rear View/Backup Camera Camera freezes when vehicle is moving in reverse. The frozen image leads me to think I am farther away from objects or people than I really am. The vehicle has had the associated recall completed without success and has been in Ford dealership shops six other times to try to fix the issue, again, without success. The problem has been happening since day one of owning the vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11773930, filed 2026-10“This morning while driving to work, I lost acceleration power. I was driving to work at the speed limit of 65 mph. The car started to slow down and I could not get any acceleration when stepping on the gas pedal. I was very lucky that traffic was light and able to coast over to a shoulder of the highway. I called roadside assistance and had it towed to local dealer. Awaiting to hear what the problem is. Feel very uncomfortable at this point.”
NHTSA complaint #11642527, filed 2025-02“I was driving on a freeway and my vehicle went into Powertrain malfunction/Reduced power mode and slowed me down from 65 -70 miles an hours to under 20 miles an hour. This almost cause a semi to slam into the back of my vehicle missing me by inches. The dealership is unable to recreate this issue but confirmed it did happen. Ford and the dealership have been giving me a run around with this since they can't diagnose the issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11576011, filed 2024-03“Travelling around 60-70mph on the highway when a warning appeared saying there is a powertrain issue and engine issue. This forced my truck into low gear and I lost the ability to accelerate. This forced me to pull to the side of the highway with no acceleration capabilities which is highly dangerous. Multiple warning lights remained on the dashboard. This first event occured on Mar 10 2024, then happened AGAIN on April 12 2024.”
NHTSA complaint #11583813, filed 2024-04“Currently at mileage 11,200; was driving about 40 mph at 11:30 am in Folsom, CA; all of a sudden the truck slowed dramatically and I got several error messages: Power-train malfunction/Reduced power, engine service soon, and pre collision assistance not available. Was able to pull off the road safely, although several vehicles were right behind me. Had several recall repais within the last 3 months which involved software updates.”
