“When I start up the car, and the temperature is below 50 degrees, the pre-collision assist is not available, the park aid malfunctions and the blind spot detection with cross traffic is inoperative....the alerts are on the dash, and come as alerts to my phone. The car can still be driven. My car has been at the service department at the dealership since march 16, and I have no word on when it will be returned. This has happened 2/26, 2/27, 3/2, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6,3/7,3/10 and 3/12. …”

NHTSA complaint #11404729, filed 2021-03, 100 miles

“I was driving on the highway when the car gave me an error saying that the front camera is faulty and the collision warning system was giving an error. This stopped my cruise control and lane departure settings. I had just got my car back from Ford for this issue where they replaced a $7000 computer part and said it was fixed. This issue has been happening since I purchased the car in Dec 2024.”

NHTSA complaint #11681417, filed 2025-08

“I am the owner of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E and have experienced repeated failures of the front-facing camera system, which directly impacts critical safety features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. When the camera fails, these safety systems become unavailable or behave unpredictably, putting my safety and that of others at risk. The issue began around 40,000 miles. …”

NHTSA complaint #11665044, filed 2025-06

“On August 8, 2026, my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium experienced a serious electronic lockout. The vehicle was running, with the air conditioning and music on, when the doors locked and I was unable to regain entry. My keys, phone, purse, medication, and other essential belongings were inside the vehicle. I attempted multiple methods to regain access, including the driver’s door keypad, but I was unsuccessful. I remained locked out for approximately 7.5 hours and ultimately had to break the windshield to reach inside and unlock the vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11774473, filed 2026-10

“I have had a camera fault error for several weeks. This leads to the pre-collision assist and other features not being available. The camera module has already been replaced once and I still have the same problem.”
