“When I start up the car, and the temperature is below 50 degrees, the pre-collision assist is not available, the park aid malfunctions and the blind spot detection with cross traffic is inoperative....the alerts are on the dash, and come as alerts to my phone. The car can still be driven. My car has been at the service department at the dealership since march 16, and I have no word on when it will be returned. This has happened 2/26, 2/27, 3/2, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6,3/7,3/10 and 3/12. …”

NHTSA complaint #11404729, filed 2021-03, 100 miles

“While driving on the NJ turnpike I notice a grinding noise. I was using 1 pedal drive at the time. Once I disabled the 1 pedal drive. I received multiple dash board alerts and App alerts that the Mach E was experiencing a Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced power. Hill start Assist Warning/Pre-Collision assist Not available. This happened on 8/24/2023. I drove to the dealership and left the vehicle with them to look into the alerts and grinding noise. I called the dealer the next week and was told that the front motor had failed and a replacement was ordered. …”

NHTSA complaint #11545130, filed 2023-09

“The rear camera has malfunctioned. When the vehicle is put into reverse the area usually covered by the rear cameras is blue with white tire tracks indicating the direction the vehicle will travel. Obstructions such as people or other vehicles are covered in blue and not visible on the screen. The dealer has confirmed the problem and ordered replacements in May. In the meantime I am hesitant to drive this vehicle since there have been a couple of near misses in crowded parking lots. This vehicle is available for inspection. I have not received any communication from the dealer. …”

NHTSA complaint #11627541, filed 2024-11

“The contact owns a 2021 Ford Mustang March E. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over prevention camera image was frozen, and the driver was unable to view the images behind the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who determined that the back over prevention camera was faulty; however, the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V315000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION). The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 7,500.”

NHTSA complaint #11685672, filed 2025-09, 7,500 miles

“There is a repeated front camera fault that prevents the Pre-Collision Assist from working, which could lead to a car accident and possible injury/fatality. It has been to the dealership many times over more than 2 years, and the issue still has not been resolved. The Ford dealer had been able to confirm and reproduce the issue. There is no consistency for when the alert appears on the car that the Pre-Collision Assist is not working, but it happens often.”
