“The passenger side door comes open at low or high rate of speed. The driver side door does the same thing. My Mustang is a convertible so when the doors come open or ajared it is very frightening. This happens on the interstate or in the country or in the city. It is very dangerous situation. This happens at all speeds.”
NHTSA complaint #11362551, filed 2020-10, 50,000 miles“Driver and passenger door unlatches at highway speeds. I have owned this vehicle for 10 months and this has happened once on the driver side door and several times on the passenger side door. The passenger side door unlatched at highway speeds twice within 30 minutes on the last occurrence.”
NHTSA complaint #11414591, filed 2021-04, 54,000 miles“The trunk will open while driving when it is cold outside, going over any bump, or even when I brake. Took it in to get it fixed 3 times with no results. Also, the rear shock absorbers keep failing; resulting in an uncomfortable ride.”
NHTSA complaint #11290118, filed 2019-12, 12,000 miles“Driving down the road and the passenger door becomes ajar by itself. Has happened several times. Has happened on a highway, while turning and while going down a city street. Happened just now on way to house.”
NHTSA complaint #11328597, filed 2020-06, 45,087 miles“Passenger door opens when going over railroad tracks. I was traveling at only a few miles and I guess the tracks clicked it open some how. So now it seems that the door not only opens while driving at any speed but also if the car hits a bump or something on the roadway even at low speeds.. I was traveling on a county road.”
