“Trunk fails to open. The truck has been operating normally for almost 5 years, then suddenly is unable to open. When I use my fob or the truck release button, I hear the actuator, but the trunk does not unlatch. Considering safety equipment (spare tire ,fire extinguisher, first aid kit) is stored in the trunk, it is critical that it opens when needed.”
NHTSA complaint #11323362, filed 2020-05, 42,000 miles“2015 Ford Mustang ecoboost convertible - when driving on the highway over 65mph the passenger door unlatches and a warning signal appears on the dash stating the passenger door is open. I have to either pull over and close the door myself or my fianc puts the window down and pushes the door closed again. This has happened 6 times within the past 2 months. Ford santa monica states there was nothing found under the safety recall 20s30/20v-331.”
NHTSA complaint #11373593, filed 2020-11, 68,700 miles“Yesterday while driving on a houston highway at 60+ MPH my passenger side door unlatched and warning light and sound came on that my door was ajar. The door opened on it's on I had to pull over and close it. This is the second time this has happened this month. Both times while car is in motion. I found that there was a recall from Ford a few years ago for this issue but I searched for recalls on my VIN and mine was not recalled.”
NHTSA complaint #11208015, filed 2019-05, 50,000 miles“I was on the interstate traveling south with cruise control on. I went over a bump that I usually go over when headed in that direction and the driver door all of a sudden opened/unlocked itself. It was locked or else the dashboard would of indicated that my transmission was not in park before setting off on my trip.”
NHTSA complaint #10712736, filed 2015-04, 9,345 miles“Was in the passenger seat and noticed the door was not closed while we were driving. We had to stop and keep opening up the door to slam it close again to make sure the door latch was secure and was properly shut.”
