“When turning the steering wheel in either direction it makes a decent clicking sound has been happening now for over 8 months it seems to only do it while the car is moving even when the car is slowly moving & as well noticed a lot of play in the steering & my steering wheel will not stay aligned with my tires after alignment from Hyundai.”

NHTSA complaint #11281926, filed 2019-11, 98,000 miles

“My vehicle's steering wheel 'shudders' upon turning, whether stationary or moving, on a city street or highway. I believe the eps to be the problem and am afraid the steering will seize up while I am driving, potentially causing a safety hazard both for myself and for others. This has occurred each time the car has been in use since july 10, 2019, without exception.”

NHTSA complaint #11232935, filed 2019-07, 35,100 miles

“Steering problem: when driving, the steering wheel catches near the center position, taking some additional force to move it. It is relatively easy to over come, but it feels as though it is getting worse. My Hyundai dealer has not responded to my inquiries. The potential for a steering lockup may exist, thus this alert.”

NHTSA complaint #11205057, filed 2019-05, 63,000 miles

“When turning the wheel while stationary or driving, there is a loud crunching sound coming from the wheel turning right or left. Someone told me I will then lose power steering & that around 21,000-29,000 miles on your car this is what happens. A small wheel nut behind the wheel & dash board breaks up. I am afraid to lose my power steering. This has happened to a number of owners.”

NHTSA complaint #11280370, filed 2019-11, 21,000 miles

“'takata recall' I was driving to work on the highway going 65 MPH and lost control of my vehicle. To regain control I hit my brakes and continue my journey to work. This has happened multiple times and now I'm scared to drive my car so I carpool with a friend to work which is ridiculous. I don't feel safe to drive my own car”

NHTSA complaint #11164016, filed 2018-12, 92,000 miles
