“-auto start/stop feature Since there is no way to permanently disable this feature i forgot that it was on. while stopped a stop light i was unable to move when the car behind me could not stop due to the wet roads. If the car behind me was unable to swerve in time i would have been rear-ended. by the time the engine started the car behind me was in line with my back seat. no amount of gas saving is worth being immobilized essentially in a emergency situation. …”

NHTSA complaint #11642579, filed 2025-02

“Good morning the problems I am having with my 2025 are very discouraging. Started October of 2025, my tire light illuminated stated the tires were low when they are all at correct specs when using an air guage to check. November of 2025 while driving at night the headlights suddenly shut off briefly then came back back on. January of 2026 while leaving work the transmission would not shift, held accelerator pedal to floor but could not go above 20 mph all the way home for 3 miles. …”

NHTSA complaint #11747876, filed 2026-07

“As of today, March 17, 2026 , my 2025 Hyundai Tucson keeps having safety issues. On March 8th , 11th, 14th and 25th the car once again shut down mid-drive. This issue occurred last month as well but dealership claims no DTCs were found. I am noticing that the forward collision warning comes on without any cars or objects in front periodically since the purchase of my car. The light will remain on for a few seconds and disappear. The automatic brake system seems to be causing issues as well which I believe causes the car to shut off completely mid-drive. …”

NHTSA complaint #11724972, filed 2026-03

“My vehicle has an ongoing safety‑critical defect involving the braking system, powertrain, and ADAS logic. I have not driven the vehicle since 04/27/2026; all diagnostic trouble codes were recorded while the vehicle was in the dealership’s possession. On 05/05/2026, the vehicle stored multiple DTCs, including C164286, P071300, P076800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386. On 05/13/2026, P071300, P076800, U060FF1, U060F29, and U061386 were recorded again, showing repeated powertrain, communication, and control‑system faults while the vehicle remained with the dealer. …”

NHTSA complaint #11740756, filed 2026-05

“I bought a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid 2025 on Aug. 7, 2025. My car has 1541 miles on Oct. 8. I tried to drive my car out of the garage, and the engine would start, but it wouldn't move forward or backward. There were three warnings on the dashboard: Powertrain, hybrid, and something. Hyundai headquarters called and said there was a problem with my car. They will send a tow truck. It has been one week since my car was taken to the dealer. I haven't heard back. When I called today, they said there was a problem with the TCM and they ordered a module. So, I guess I just have to wait and see.”
