“Horrible hesitation upon acceleration!!! Afraid of having an accident. Also, last evening I was stuck in construction traffic and my transmission started overheating!!! A few minutes later the car stopped!! I was on a major road and now caused more of a traffic jam. Had to sit there for 10minutes till it cooled enough and the light went off.”
NHTSA complaint #11256316, filed 2019-09, 41,020 miles“When pulling out of parking area, or starting up from a complete stop at a light or stop sign, when I press the gas of the vehicle , it hesitates . It almost seems like it's going to cut out, or bogs downs, and then catches. I make sure if there is an oncoming vehicle coming , I don't pull out in fear this will happen , and I'll get hit by another car. This happens everytime it's driven”
NHTSA complaint #11385516, filed 2020-12, 68,000 miles“The driver and back passenger door handles both just jammed one day, the driver window switch shorts out, dash lights will flash on and off randomly, the dealership has already replaced the transmission and the engine has been ticking for months and the dealership says its due to low oil and refused to look into it. Now its to the point of total engine failure.... Please help me I havnt even had it for 2 years yet”
NHTSA complaint #11343690, filed 2020-08, 82,000 miles“My car keeps having issues with acceleration. It struggles to manually shift gears when I try to go to 40 MPH. I fear for my safety especially getting into highways since I struggle to keep up with traffic upon entering. I have taken it to the dealer already and problem persists.”
NHTSA complaint #11326736, filed 2020-06, 60,000 miles“When I try to accelerate from a stop at at a slow speed this car has extreme lag. Sometimes it can take up to 3 seconds for the engine to respond and then all of a sudden the car jumps and accelerates too quickly. This problem has made it very difficult to judge when I can cross traffic because I never know when the car will actually accelerate.”
