“The car hesitates under acceleration . It will sometimes sits just inching along for 2 or 3 seconds then start accelerating. You don't know when its going to happen. I have taken it to the dealer and they said nothing is wrong with the vehicle. It can go a week with nothing than when you last expect it happens again. Very dangerous I wont let my wife drive the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11244151, filed 2019-08, 5,000 miles“When you press on the gas pedal, sometimes the car will no go, the RPM revs up very high. The car pauses and then will go. Very dangerous especially when turning left or leaving a traffic light, on on the slightest incline. This is a brand new car. (we are leasing this, and got the car end of november 2017) I currently have 3200 miles on it and scared to drive it.”
NHTSA complaint #11082128, filed 2018-03, 20 miles“There is a hesitation when the car starts out in the morning, first start of the day. I have had a new transmission put in, but after a few weeks the problem returned. It causes a safety problem when I try to pull out into traffic, because it feel like it is going to stall out and them it catches and moves.”
NHTSA complaint #11205157, filed 2019-05, 5,000 miles“My 2017 Hyundai Tucson eco is equipped with the 7 speed dual-clutch transmission and from the day we purchased it until now the car has a bad hesitation when turning, accelerating, from a stop. This can cause an accident because the car will not accelerate in time and when it does it jolts. Every time the this car goes into the dealership its transmission gets reflashed and this does not help”
NHTSA complaint #11257388, filed 2019-09, 31,000 miles“When you accelerate the vehicle the engine revs up to 5k to 6k and the car appears to being neutral. This occurs every tim I try to accelerate.
