“The frame rusted through. I was very lucky that I didn't get in an accident! Very disappointing on Nissan. I drive at highway speeds I would have lost control, rear end totally collapse, wheels are tilted in and lost traction.”

NHTSA complaint #11207164, filed 2019-05, 192,000 miles

“Broken seat frame - drivers seat (left rear) while driving down the highway, I heard a pop, the next think I knew the seat & I was leaning to the left wobbling back and fourth. Car should be recalled..”

NHTSA complaint #11105251, filed 2018-07, 156,000 miles

“Driving along and back left of drivers seat suddenly dropped down about 3-inches causing me to pull the steering wheel to the left into on coming traffic. I suspect a bolt has come loose or more likely from the numerous posts I have found online a weld has broken. This is regarding a 06 Nissan Murano.”

NHTSA complaint #10295467, filed 2009-12, 85,200 miles

“The drivers side seat recently started to rocking toward the drivers side door which alerted me to having a problem. The sub rail that hold the seat in broken. This happens every time I get into the car the seat is leaning to the left door. I contacted the dealer in which I purchased the car, they said it is nothing they can do because the warranty is up. I should contact the manufacture Nissan which I have also done .”

NHTSA complaint #10296226, filed 2009-12, 42,000 miles

“When making a left hand turn, I heard a crack underneath the driver's side. Afterwards the seat now rocks back and forth and lifts up when making turns. I have searched all over the web and it seems this is a known defect with Nissan drivers side seats on some of their vehicles to the point that they issued a technical service bulletin. I am very disappointed with the fact that Nissan is not standing behind their products. I drive a 2006 Nissan Murano and it only has 51,000 miles on it. The issue appears to be with the seat bracket lifter link assembly.”
