“Severe high impact front and rear collision, no airbag deployment. Vehicle hydroplaned, struck concrete center barrier, spun three times across 3 lanes of highway and hit guardrail in rear. No airbag deployment. I have only unloaded front pictures, site would not allow more than 5 pictures. Please contact me for the rear damage pictures”
NHTSA complaint #11352673, filed 2020-09, 69,000 miles“While driving my 2018 Toyota Camry, a deer ran in front of the car causing a serious accident. Two airbags deployed. I saw a fire flash from the steering wheel airbag and received a serious burn on my arm. My jacket sleeve melted as well. It's been over a week, and the burn has still not healed. So thankful my eyes were not burned!”
NHTSA complaint #11163259, filed 2018-12, 10,000 miles“Tamara recall I was completely stopped in traffic on the interstate and was hit by an SUV going 60+ MPH. The impact slammed me in to the two vehicles in front of me. My trunk was smashed and my front end was messed up. My radiator was cracked and my fan was cracked. Overall my car was totaled.... Yet my airbags did not deploy, which is why I suffered a concussion along with a variety of other injuries.”
NHTSA complaint #11173889, filed 2019-02, 22,000 miles“On 9/24/20 we experienced a head on collision in which both occupants experienced injuries from the seatbelt (passenger had a fractured sternum), air bags did not deploy. Oncoming car crossed the centerline on a curve, both cars were moving. I would dispute the speed of the other car as I believe it was going much faster than stated in the police report. Our vehicle may very well have performed as designed (Toyota has been called to confirm), we are thankful to be here, but feel the injuries could have been minimized if the airbags deployed. …”
NHTSA complaint #11363146, filed 2020-10, 36,000 miles“I purchased a Toyota Camry on 2/17/20. Two weeks later the srs airbag malfunction light started to illuminate and the rear seatbelt alarm continously sound off alerting me to fasten seatbelts when no one was sitting back there. I tried taking the vehicle back to the dealer I purchased it from to see what was going on but was told it had to be taken to Toyota. After taking the vehicle to Toyota, I found out the wiring harness had been torn and that it would cost me $4,900.00 to fix the issue. I was also told if I was ever in an accident, the airbag more than likely wouldn't deploy. …”
