NHTSA complaint #10863762, filed 2016-05, 200,000 miles

“My airbag light turned on in my car. I took it to the dealer and they said that water was leaking from the HVAC system onto the airbag control unit and shorting it out. This was because the drain from the HVAC system was clogged and condensed water was not draining out onto the ground as designed. Instead, it built up and then leaked onto the airbag control unit. This exact problem was recalled on other model years of Toyota camrys.”

NHTSA complaint #11151125, filed 2018-11, 62,000 miles

“On dec 18th I was making a left hand turn and as I proceeded to turn left on to another rd there was a car that had got up to the high speeds of 75or 80 and I had my left turn. Signal on and as I was turning and he ran in to my driver side door and injured my left shoulder and my neck but my air bags did not deploy and I'm now having to have surgery I hope they can get to the bottom of the car wreck and again thanks”

NHTSA complaint #10731996, filed 2015-07, 136,749 miles

“Takata recall. The airbags did not inflate when I was rear ended while driving in the carpool lane of the freeway. The collision propelled my Toyota into the vehicle in front of me. My car, person and passenger sustained multiple injuries.”

NHTSA complaint #10870708, filed 2016-05, 135,000 miles

“Takata recall I was involved in an accident in motion on a city street. My steering wheel air bag did not deploy. Only small pieces of the air bag were seen at the edge of the steering wheel. I did not take a photo. My vehicle was totaled so there may have been some documentation with insurance company. I had new tires put on my car 10 days earlier and I believe my tire pressure maintenance system malfunctioned. My tire pressure light was blinking and I was unable to stop my car when I approached a traffic light.”
