“After owning the brand new truck for less than 24 hours (approximately 170 miles on the odometer of the vehicle), I was driving in a straight line on a 2 lane highway at approx. 50-55mph. My foot was lightly on the accelerator, maintaining speed, as I had just passed through a traffic circle about a mile prior, and was in a small line of traffic travelling on the road. …”

NHTSA complaint #11362314, filed 2020-10, 171 miles

“Truck started making very strange noise,, came home let truck sit, went to restart and engine light came on, truck made very horrible sound, and started spitting oil out of the side of the block. Hole in block and at least one piston destroyed.”

NHTSA complaint #11318639, filed 2020-03, 7,528 miles

“In 2024, I noticed that my truck was experiencing rough shifts. It felt as if the back wheels were jerking over uneven ground, even though the vehicle was on a flat surface. In November 2024, my sister sent me an article about General Motors' massive recall due to rear wheel lock-up, which increased the risk of crashes. I contacted GM and learned that my truck was part of the recall. I reported the issues my truck was exhibiting, and GM instructed me to reach out to my dealer about the problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11635869, filed 2025-01

“We just arrived to our out to town destination and exited the vehicle. We drove 80 miles to get there. The truck was running when we noticed white smoke coming from under the hood then immediately large red flames.”

NHTSA complaint #11616909, filed 2024-09

“The DEF heater/tank shorted out. The DEF system has thrown a code 3 times in the little over a year I’ve owned the truck. This final time I was told that the tank needs to be replaced. The truck has now been in the shop for 2 months and there is still no ship date on the replacement tank. The tanks are on a national back order. From what I understand there are about 9,000 people waiting for this DEF tank countrywide. I now have a $60k work truck that I am paying for but cannot use with no reasonable end in sight.”
