“2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked on moderately sloped driveway. Engine was not running. Vehicle transmission shifter was in park position. Vehicle spontaneously rolled back several feet, and crashed into another parked vehicle. Other vehicle also owned by me. Substantial damage to both vehicles. Not influenced by driver. After some research it is my belief the apparent problem with the transmission/software. I did find where there was a recall #14192 for this issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11152511, filed 2018-11, 42,000 miles“Vacuum pump failed on freeway at low speed. Chevrolet has acknowledged there is a problem but only offers replacement for under 70,000 miles. I am at 80,000 miles and had to pay $800 on my vacation trip.”
NHTSA complaint #11219760, filed 2019-06, 82,000 miles“After coming to a stop or slowing down and accelerating again, the vehicle can't catch its gear and basically goes into neutral. The rpms rev way up, you can push the pedal to the floor and it still won't go until it finally finds a gear. We've owned this vehicle 2 weeks and it has happened multiple times every time we drive it. We nearly got rear ended on the interstate after trying to accelerate after slowing down for traffic. It happens on the highway, in the city, and on the interstate.”
NHTSA complaint #11128707, filed 2018-09, 77,000 miles“I purchased a used 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe with about 140000 miles. After driving the vehicle for about a month I began to experience problems with the radio. It had an issue playing clearly. Then the display screen started jumping and moving through different commands on its own. Just recently, two months after owning the vehicle, it has started to cut off completely while I am driving it. The first time it occurred is when I was about to make a left turn. The second time it occurred, I was backing into my drive way. This time it cut off completely three times in a row. …”
NHTSA complaint #11413736, filed 2021-04, 146,243 miles“Last night vehicle start jerking and when accelerating it would hesitate then take of and there was a sound in the transmission. The next morning which is today when I went to drive there was a error message that said 4 wheel drive. When I went to take of the vehicle would go in and out of 4 wheel drive by itself. This continued all day and feel the vehicle is not safe because when it erratically goes into 4 wheel drive at normal speed the steering was compromised. I will take it to dealer monday..”
