“While driving on a highway during pouring rain, with wipers on high and head lights on, dash and touch screen went off/black for up to 15 minutes then turned back on again. This occurred three times while driving. I was unable to pull over on the thruway and was unable to assess if my head lights were affected as well. We had been driving about an hour when this occurred. The car had been charged fully before beginning our travels that day.”
NHTSA complaint #11241242, filed 2019-08, 15,680 miles“I left the parking lot and started driving home at about 8:45pm on 3/31 and heard a really loud pop. It sounded like glass and I inspected the windows and panoramic sunroof. The panoramic sunroof glass has shattered on the 2nd row section and has a hole in it. The glass is still making noises like it's continuing to crack.”
NHTSA complaint #11651913, filed 2025-03“My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica suddenly had the AC unit blowing hot air at ~82k miles and 8-years of life. The unit died and as a family vehicle at the start of summer, I'm unable to carry my young children in it in the heat safely as it blows hot air regardless of the specified temp. Took it in for analysis and they found the AC Compressor was the culprit and apparently this is a known issue at Chrysler. I phoned to ask for a good will repair and was told that they can only offer technical assistance to a dealership on such issues. I ultimately decided to file my complaint here.”
NHTSA complaint #11744874, filed 2026-06“The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated while driving the vehicle at and undisclosed speed his heater is would not work, until the vehicle is fully moving and running. The contact stated he could hear a clicking Nosie coming from the engine bay and as well a decompression noise coming from inside the cabin. The contact stated that there was a check engine light illuminated. The vehicle taken to a dealer were it was diagnosed to need a new electric heater. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 134,350.”
NHTSA complaint #11737298, filed 2026-05, 134,350 miles“The drivers side front door window spontaneously shattered while driving. It was not hit by a rock or other object. This happened again three weeks later to the drivers side rear door window that I will report in a separate incident.”
