“While driving the vehicle there is a lack of power steering assist. When turning right there is no power steering assist at all, when turning left there is some assist. My wife drives this vehicle & takes our kids to & from school daily. I have switched cars with her for the time being.”

NHTSA complaint #11259052, filed 2019-09, 55,000 miles

“I was driving my car through town(35mph) when it just shut off. I didn't have power steering or brakes. No alert lights come on. I managed to pull into a gas station, put it in park then it restarted after I pushed the button. I did chat with chrysler and they said no recalls or issues showed up for my car. After googling my experience, I found numerous other complaints from people having the same problem. If I had been going faster on the highway or even on our curvy backroads I could have been seriously injured or even killed! …”

NHTSA complaint #11124177, filed 2018-09, 93,600 miles

“When turning to the left the power steering goes out and sometimes comes right back . In which all of a sudden the car snapes to the left violently. This happen on the highway, as well as city streets.”

NHTSA complaint #11309588, filed 2020-02, 164,000 miles

“Was making a left turn when a grinding noise occurred. It has become more frequent when turning. And now this grinding noise occurs both when attempting to make a left or a right turn. Noise has occurred at ideal turning speeds of 5-15 MPH.”

NHTSA complaint #10726123, filed 2015-06, 38,500 miles

“No power steering in the morning. Took it to the mechanic and he said the power steering hose ruptured. We had sub-below temperatures in northwestern minnesota last week. It is the same as recall #16v-273, but I do not have an optional block heater, so it is not covered. Which really doesn't make any sense at all.”
