“1. When vehicle placed in park, p indicator does not illuminate and when door is opened an audible alarm is sounded and a visisble alarm comes up on the guages saying to place vehicle in park. 2. When putting vehicle in reverse, sony display goes blacks and displays an error message stating that the back up camera needs to be inspected. 3. Driver side seatbelt is slow to retract. Recently purchased vehicle within last 6 months and noticed some of these are common problems throughout the Ford EDGE community.”
NHTSA complaint #11196830, filed 2019-04, 55,000 miles“The contact owns a 2012 Ford EDGE. The contact stated that the front passenger side seat belt pinned the passenger to the seat if there was too much movement. The passenger had to disconnect the seat belt and reconnect it in order for the seat belt to function properly. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnosis and the contact was informed that there was nothing they could because the seat belts were designed that way. The manufacturer was notified, but offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. …”
