“The driver's side seat belt may be faulty. It takes several attempts to pull the seatbelt into place. It usually takes several tries to fasten the seatbelt. I am concerned this may be a safety issue. This has been happening for 2 weeks now.”
NHTSA complaint #11349670, filed 2020-08, 54,000 miles“My drivers side seat belt is getting stuck while pulling it out. It clicks and becomes stuck and I can’t put it on. When I do finally get it on I became stuck on 3 separate occasions and couldn’t physically get it off without help. I haven’t brought it to be inspected because my vin is not listed in the recall of driver side seatbelt. No lamps or messages prior.”
NHTSA complaint #11753192, filed 2026-07“The front passenger seatbelt will not adjust and is stuck. It worked when last used. I parked and when we got in to go, it wouldn’t work . It was not due to any misuse and is a safety issue as the passenger has to plug it in so the seatbelt notice will go off. I don’t know why it is not able to be adjusted.”

It started out intermitten but has now gotten to the point where we have to driver without a seatbelt as it will not come out no matter what you do. This is a huge safety hazard.
