“Adaptive steering fault service required light is on. Car pulls to the right ever since light came on. Took it in for service at 37,000 miles and Ford refuses to repair this safety malfunction under any type of warranty. I purchased extended platinum insurance coverage because I bought this vehicle used 1 year ago. Light comes on everything I turn the vehicle on. I'm concerned for my safety driving, especially at high speeds on the freeway.”
NHTSA complaint #11342331, filed 2020-07, 36,000 miles“I have a 2016 Ford EDGE, which has a panoramic sunroof and moon roof. My sunroof motor only works half the time. It will open with no issues, but then in order to close it, it will close, and then open again. I have to close it several times before it actually stays closed. The other issue I am having is with the moon roof. It has randomly cracked. I keep my vehicle parked in the garage, and work from home. There is no chip in the glass, and the glass doesn't look like a regular spider from a chip. It's wavy cracks.”
NHTSA complaint #11352213, filed 2020-08, 50,000 miles“I bought that SUV on 12/9/16. On 17/1/17 I delivered (dealer) it for repair, I mean, to function for first time the interior (soffit) lights. On 21/2/17 they delivered (to me) the unit, after installed a new fuse box (sent from the manufacturer). On 4/ix/17 (night) from the left side of the soffit began to outburst smoke/burning smell. At the end, the left side of the soffit and the base of the sun protector (with mirrior) were burned. Next day, I took the vehicle to the dealer, and they have it yet. …”
NHTSA complaint #10990459, filed 2017-05, 3,000 miles“While driving the vehicle on the interstate, three different times it suddenly, without warning, lost all power and shutdown the car. No power, lights, power steering, etc. I had to coast to a stop on a major interstate. Once I was stopped, turned off the car and it restarted like nothing happened. These events were very dangerous. Once was when it was raining so when the car lost power, the wipers stopped at 70 MPH so I had to navigate to the shoulder without being able to see. A second time was at night driving 70 MPH, when it shutdown, I lost headlights and I couldn't see. …”
NHTSA complaint #11298960, filed 2020-01, 63,500 miles“Driving down the interstate at 80 MPH in motion when the car started to go into 'limp mode.' the dash stated there was 'low oil pressure' and 'check airbags.' within the next three seconds the car started to lose power and power steering was shut off. The car started slowing down at a dramatic rate leaving me stranded. After the car killed the engine I was not able to restart the car. The car would turn over, but not hold power it would die immediately. I was finally able to start the car after waiting 10 minutes. The car would start and hold power. …”
