“The 7 pin trailer connecton doesn't work properly. The trailer clearance lights are on all the time. Even with the truck lights off. The electric brake controller pulses electric to the trailer brakes. Even when there is no trailer connected and the truck not running. The trailer brakes locked up. The lane centering is so sensitive the steering wheel shimmies. This makes the trailer sway.”
NHTSA complaint #11643674, filed 2025-02“This 2021 F150 is equipped with Ford BlueCruise. More than one time the truck has tried to leave the road while engaged. It also has a very dangerous trait - when the BlueCruise is active and the system wants the driver to take control, THE AMOUNT OF FORCE IT TAKES TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL OFTEN CAUSES THE TRUCK TO SWIRVE TO ANOTHER LANE OF TRAFFIC. THIS IS A HUGE SAFTEY CONCERN and has caused many near miss accidents at high speed, for me.”
