“I experienced two wet-road skidding incidents in my 2022 Ford F-150 hybrid. In the first, I was stopped at a light before turning across a three-lane roadway. When I began turning after the light changed, the truck skidded about two lanes over and I lost control. After it appeared to level out, I gently tried to keep it in my lane. I do not know whether traction or stability control was off or whether I may have pressed a control button. The following Friday, after stopping at a red light, the truck began to skid when I released the brake. I was not flooring the accelerator. …”
NHTSA complaint #11770293, filed 2026-10“According to the dealer, Covert Ford in Austin, TX. A bolt on the rear axle holding the brakes to the rear axle is brittle and prone to failure. This bolt has sheared on my truck with just 10, 739.9 miles on it. The dealer says they cannot release the truck as the rear axle is damaged and the truck is un-driveable. The parts are not currently available to address the issue.”
