“I turned my truck on after it sat overnight and the ABS and emergency brake lights were illuminated on the dash cluster. Took the truck into a local part store and had a obd2 reader hooked up and it pulled ABS control module code. I took into a auto shop and they were pull the code and decipher what the actual problem was. The ABS control module completely stopped working.”

NHTSA complaint #11291931, filed 2019-12, 68,000 miles

“At approximately 86000 miles my ABS and brake warning light illuminated. I took it to my certified mechanic who ran a diagnostic which revealed a failed ABS module. Replacement cost is over $800.00 and with over 233 complaints that we know of, when is your organization going to make Ford accountable?”

NHTSA complaint #11153589, filed 2018-11, 86,000 miles

“While driving at approximately 30 MPH a rear wheel locked up causing the truck to turn to one side. Travelling a little further it happened again. I turned the truck around and headed back to my house. Two or three times again a rear wheel locked up causing a lack of control. If I was at highway speed, the vehicle would have caused an accident as the condition would cause the truck to go sideways.”

NHTSA complaint #10838963, filed 2016-02, 109,000 miles

“Vibration felt in feet seat and is noticable in items within the cab of the vehicle. Vehicle has had tires replaced, driveline balanced. Ford dealership says the vehcile has an inherent vibration and there is nothing they can do. I wonder if this a safety concern?? Why does it vibrate and will something brake? I believe the inherent vibration is a defect.”

NHTSA complaint #10331652, filed 2010-05, 50 miles

“Deep grooves in front brake rotors after only 2800 miles . Ford replaced left calip turned rotors ; didn't replace pads. After 5800 mi rotors again had deep grooves in rotors. Ford has had truck for 5 days; unable to get rotors is the excuse. I don't know what is happening. I hope they replace both rotors ,pad and the right calip. Rotor s may need to be the ventilated type.”
