NHTSA complaint #11204187, filed 2019-04, 3,750 miles

“While driving on a city street the accelerator on my Ford F-150 began to accelerate on its own. I pressed the brake pedal to slow down but it only accelerated at a higher rate. I was able to put the shifter in neutral and pull over to a safe area, with the vehicle in neutral and my foot on the brake pedal the truck would continue to accelerate. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership because I was afraid to drive it, now the service department is saying that they cannot duplicate the problem when there obviously is a problem.”
