“275/55R20 Goodyear Wrangler literally exploded while driving on I-40 East Bound in New Mexico on 2/21/23 at approximately 9 AM. Roadway was dry and clear of any debris. Shredded tire caused extensive damage to underside of truck bed, wheel and side of bed. Original Equipment tire with 45,824 miles and 8/32 remaining tread,- dealer had in demo service prior to my purchase. I am the original retail owner Tire was inflated to 40 PSI at time of failure. Tires have been rotated on regular basis by local Ford dealer and show no unusual signs of wear. …”

The vehicle was driven to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was no physical failure with the tire. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V155000 (Tires). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.”
